Privacy Policy

Overview

Wind Down is built on the principle that your journal is private. We do not sell, share, or monetise your personal data in any way. Your nightly ritual is yours alone.

Data We Collect

Wind Down stores the following information locally on your device: • Your name • Bedtime preference • Goal type • Journal entries (release text, gratitude text, AI reflection) • Streak data and completion history All of this data lives on your device only. We do not have a server that stores your personal information.

Data We Do Not Collect

Wind Down does not access or collect: • Your location • Your contacts • Camera or microphone data • Advertising identifiers • Analytics or behavioural tracking data

AI Reflection

If you use the AI reflection feature, the text you enter in the Release and Grateful steps is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a personalised reflection. This data is processed in real time and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the duration of the API call. We never use your journal content for AI model training.

Subscription

Subscription status is managed by Apple through the App Store and by RevenueCat for receipt validation. We do not store or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

Third Party Services

Wind Down uses the following third-party services: • Anthropic API — to generate AI reflections • RevenueCat — for subscription management and receipt validation • Apple App Store — for payment processing

Your Rights

You can delete all of your data at any time from Settings → Delete account & data. This permanently erases everything stored on your device by Wind Down. Since we do not store your data on our servers, deletion is immediate and complete.
